The official state nickname of Arkansas is \"The Natural State,\" and the government has done what it can to live up to this billing by maintaining 52 parks located throughout the state. These parks cover a great diversity of landscapes, from mountaintops to the banks of rivers to tree-lined forests and everything in between. If you are planning a trip to visit one of these fine parks and wish to stay overnight, cabins are available to rent in several of the locations.
Nestled deep in Lee Creek Valley, Devil's Den State Park features a stone dam that helped create a natural lake in the heart of the park. Visitors can rent canoes, tandem kayaks, and water bikes to explore the acres of water. Mountain bike trails, picnic areas, and a swimming pool can also be found on-site. Seventeen cabins are available to rent, each featuring fully-equipped kitchens, fireplaces, and satellite television. The cabins are available to rent year-round, and rates vary by season. Lake Chicot is the largest natural lake in Arkansas and provides outdoor enthusiasts with excellent opportunities to fish, boat, or watch birds. The park can be found in a pecan grove right on the lake and features a swimming pool, boat ramps, and a playground. Fourteen cabins are available to rent year-round. Amenities include satellite television, a private picnic area, outdoor decks, and grills. In addition, all cabins are ADA accessible. Mount Nebo stands 1,350 feet above the Arkansas River Valley, offering sweeping views of the surrounding area. The park features the Bench Trail, a 4.5-mile mountain bike trail that runs on the mountain side, encircling Mount Nebo. There are also launch sites for hang gliding within the park. There are a total of 14 cabins available to rent. Amenities include central heating and air conditioning, full kitchens, and fireplaces. Each of the cabins sleeps between two and six guests.
