Oklahoma Parks With Cabins

Oklahoma has dozens of state parks, but only 17 of them have cabins available for rental. Many of the cabins are modern, featuring kitchens and bathrooms as well as heating and air-conditioning units. Several parks have cabins that are very small and primitive, without restroom facilities or air conditioning. Rentals are available in state parks in the northwestern, northeastern and southeastern regions of the state.

  1. Northwest Oklahoma

    • Guests renting cabins in Great Salt Plains State Park have opportunities for biking, hiking, boating, birdwatching and swimming. The Great Plains National Wildlife Refuge, next to the park, is the only place in the world where you can dig for selenite crystals. Digging is permitted from April 1 through October 15.

      Roman Nose State Park in Watonga, which opened in 1937, is one of Oklahoma's original state parks. Visitors renting cabins here can enjoy a round of golf at the 18-hole on-site golf course, biking and hiking trails and horseback riding.

      Boiling Springs State Park in Woodward is named for a sandy-bottom spring on the property. Visitors to the park can enjoy swimming and water activities at Lake Shaul as well as hiking and biking along the park's many trails. The park has four fully furnished cabins and two group cabins available for rental.

    Southeast Oklahoma

    • Lake Murray State Park, located in Ardmore, is the state's oldest and largest park. Visitors enjoy water sport activities, camping, horseback riding, hayrides, miniature golfing, paddle boating, golfing and dirt bike/ATV riding. This park has 56 cabins, some of which are historic structures.

      Robbers Cave State Park, in Wilburton, enjoys notoriety as a hideout for the famous outlaws Jesse James and Belle Star. Visitors can enjoy camping, cave exploring, horseback riding, swimming, boating, and rappelling off the park's many rocky peaks. Robbers Cave rents both single and duplex cabins.

      Beavers Bend & Hochatown State Park is located in Broken Bow along Martin Fork River and Broken Bow Lake. Visitors to the park enjoy numerous aquatic activities including boating, skiing, river floating, scuba diving and canoeing. Those who prefer to remain dry can enjoy horseback riding, biking, and golf on-site at Cedar Creek Golf Course. The park has 47 cabins with kitchenettes available for rental.

    Northeast Oklahoma

    • Keystone State Park, located in Sand Springs, has 22 lake-view cabins available for rental. The park is located on Keystone Lake, and visitors park enjoy myriad of water sports including boating, skiing, tubing, jet skiing, swimming and fishing. There is also a fully stocked marina on-site, complete with a full-service restaurant.

      Sequoyah State Park and Western Hills Guest Ranch in Hulbert is the largest of the state's parks. The park is located on Fort Gibson Lake, and visitors enjoy a variety of water sports as well as horseback riding, hiking, biking and golfing.
