Palo Duro Canyon State Park cabins can be found in the northern tip of Texas. The canyon itself is 120 miles long, 800 feet deep and is the second largest in the country.
The park has three cabins that are located along the rim of the canyon and come with patios with picnic tables and grills. Inside the cabins, which can accommodate four people, are fireplaces, bathrooms and kitchens with refrigerators, microwaves and coffee pots. Linens and towels are part of the package at the cabins that also have air conditioning and heat.
Recreational activities at the park include hiking and horseback riding trails. The park also hosts a musical festival in the summer and has primitive camping sites for tents and RVs.

The Lake Brownwood State Park in the center of Texas has cabins that come with air conditioning, heat, kitchens with refrigerator and stoves, fireplaces and restrooms with showers. Outside each cabin are grills and picnic tables. Lines are provided, but cooking utensils are not. Tents, trailers, RVs and pets are also not allowed at the cabins.
The park has nine cabins that accommodate two people and seven cabins that can sleep four. Guests can also opt to stay in lodges that have large kitchens and are ideal for large groups. Recreational opportunities at the park include fishing, swimming, boating and hiking. Community picnic areas are also located on the grounds.

Situated in the eastern part of Texas, the Caddo Lake State Park has nine stone cabins that have large stone fireplaces and have since been remodeled after being constructed in the 1930s.
Situated along Caddo Lake, the park has two cabins that can sleep two people, four cabins that can accommodate four and three cabins that sleep six. The two larger styles of cabins have kitchens equipped with stoves, refrigerators and microwaves. Every size cabin has outside grills and picnic tables. Guests can take advantage of hiking trails or fish at a lighted dock that extends into the lake. Kayaks and boats are available for rent. Wildlife viewing in the park includes alligators, snakes, raccoons, beavers, armadillos, and white-tailed deer.
