Eleven of the state parks in Texas offer group and individual cabins. Cabins can accommodate anywhere from two to 26 people, making them ideal for couples or large groups.
Bastrop State Park; Caddo and Cooper Lake State Park; Daingerfield State Park; Garner State Park; Kerrville-Schreiner; Lake Brownwood State Park; Martin Creek Lake State Park; Palo Duro Canyon State Park; Possum Kingdom State Park; and Village Creek are the parks offering cabin rentals.
Visitors should check amenities prior to check in as each park's cabins offer different services and furnishings.

Abilene State Park in central Texas offers its visitors a non-traditional stay in a yurt. Somewhere in between a tent and an actual cabin, the yurt offers guests a lodging experience closer to nature.
Each yurt is furnished with beds and a microwave inside and outdoor cooking features including a fire ring, picnic table and water access.

The Balmorhea State Park in southwestern Texas gives guests an opportunity to stay in rooms available at San Solomon Courts.
The lodge provides a hotel-like atmosphere and amenities. The San Solomon Spring is one of the highlights of this park, which feeds into the lodge swimming pool.

Two other lodges, Lantana Lodge and Indian Lodge, are both more rustic lodges that seem to blend nicely with the rugged Texas landscape. Both of these lodges have traditional lodging rooms and amenities, and a restaurant is available on the premises for you.
Lantana Lodge boasts breathtaking views of Ray Roberts Lake, and the Indian Lodge offers guests spectacular views of the Davis Mountains.
