There are 18 state park locations throughout Washington state that have cabins for rent. State park cabins are furnished, have water and electricity, and sleep up to six people. There is also an opportunity to rent a converted fire-lookout tower at the top of Mount Spokane State Park. The tower sleeps up to four, has no running water or electricity, but a water pump and a propane camp stove are provided. You can make reservations for all Washington state parks up to nine months before you arrive. Maximum stays are 10 to 20 days, depending on the season. Pets are not allowed.

There are three cabins available for rental in Olympic National Forest.
The Hamma Hamma Cabin at the Hamma Hamma Recreation Area, near Hoodsport, sleeps six, has propane appliances, lights and heat. There is indoor plumbing, but there is no drinking water on site.
Interrorem Cabin, located at the Duckabush Recreation Area, south of Quilcene, is a traditional log cabin with no running water or electricity. Interrorem sleeps four, has propane appliances and an outhouse.
Louella Cabin near Sequim Bay State Park has electricity, propane cooking and heat, and can sleep up to six people. As of 2010, the septic system is not working, but there is an outhouse next to the cabin.

Lochaerie Resort, under contract with the National Park Service, rents private cabins on Lake Quinault in Olympic National Park. There are six cabins, all with full baths, full kitchens and fireplaces. Firewood is provided. Canoes are available for rental. Pets and smoking are not allowed. There is a two-night minimum rental term. Reservations require a nonrefundable deposit and must be secured with a credit card.
