  1. Mountain Edge Cabin

    • Mountain Edge Cabin is located on Lookout Mountain and has views of Wills Valley. The rustic, two-bedroom, two-bathroom cabin sleeps up to six guests. Both bedrooms have a queen bed, and a queen sleeper sofa is found on the first floor. The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen, a washer and dryer, a deck, heat and air conditioning, satellite television, and a VCR and DVR player. Linens and dishes and flatware for six people are provided. Relax in the hot tub for five, stay warm by the fireplace or use the charcoal grill for a cookout.

      You can also bring up to two pets but an additional cleaning fee is charged. You must stay for a minimum of two nights and an additional fee for each extra guest is charged.

    DeSoto State Park Cabins

    • DeSoto State Park is a 3,502-acre park located atop Lookout Mountain with one-bedroom rustic cabins that were built in the mid-1930s. One of the cabins is dog friendly, and all have a double bed and either two twin beds or two studio couches in their living rooms, which also have fireplaces. The cabins have cable television, and linens, basic cookware, tableware and utensils are provided. While in the park, hike and bike on trails, go fishing and swim in the Olympic-size pool. You can join nature programs and attend events such as the Annual Wildflower Saturday, held each spring. DeSoto State Park also has a picnic area and a playground and is home to historic Mountain Inn Restaurant, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Children below 12 are free, and there is a two-night minimum stay on weekends from March to November.

    Lake Guntersville State Park Cabins

    • Lake Guntersville State Park is located along the Tennessee River and overlooks the 69,000-acre Guntersville Reservoir. The park, which has more than 6,000 acres of natural woodlands, offers 15 lake-view cottages, two of which are dog friendly. Each cottage is nestled among pine trees and hardwoods and can accommodate up to six people. The two-bedroom, two-bathroom cabins have a kitchen, a sitting room, cable television and a DVD player. While in the park, guests can play an 18-hole golf game, hike on trails, enjoy fishing and boating or attend nature programs and special events. Guests can spend the day in the park's beach complex and eat in the park's restaurant, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Children under 12 years of age are free, and discounts are available for all senior citizens, disabled persons and government personnel.
