The other three are on the same property within close proximity of each other--perfect for larger groups wanting individual accommodations. Each wood-paneled cabin provides a queen-size bed, TV with cable, Wi-Fi and housekeeping service. Cabins offer kitchenettes; however, fresh-caught Maine lobster and steaks are served directly next door at the Chart Room Restaurant. Peppers Pizzas and Subs across the street offers pizzas with homemade sauce, wings and sandwiches.

    Hinckley's Dreamwood Cottages

    • Hinkley's Dreamwood Cottages are located on 6.5 acres just 3 miles north of Bar Harbor. The Hinkley family offers a large variety of accommodations including single, private cabins for two, multi-room duplex cabins with adjoining doors and full-sized houses that fit up to eight people. Amenities vary with each cabin but include kitchens, kitchenettes, separate bedrooms, screened porches and fireplaces.

      The cottages are near nature trail, and just half a mile from the shoreline. Guests can walk to a nearby pirate-themed mini-golf course and two diners. A nearby ice cream stand allows customers to make their own ice cream, and also serves breakfast with 12 different kinds of bagels.

    Emery's Cottages On the Shore

    • Emery's Cottages on the Shore are 5 miles north of Bar Harbor at the tip of Sand Point. The 21 cabins are centered around a lawn area which leads to a private pebble beach suitable for swimming during the summer months or watching stunning sunsets on the bay. The cabins offer different amenities including fully equipped kitchens, kitchenettes, cable TV, separate bedrooms and Wi-Fi.

      One mile east of Emery's in Salsbury Cove, Bar Harbor Lobster Bakes overlooks the water and serves traditional downeast lobster bakes with corn on the cob and potatoes.

    Bar Harbor Cottages

    • Just 4.5 miles from the city and 1.5 miles from a public beach, the Bar Harbor Cottages welcomes each guest with a gift basket with tea, coffee, chocolate and biscotti. Accommodations for one to six people include studios, one and two bedroom cottages and Victorian themed cottage suites. Cottages include equipped kitchenettes, cable TV and Wi-Fi. Screened porches overlook the water or garden. Housekeeping service and breakfast are available upon request.
