Hanscom's Motel and Cottages has been a Bar Harbor establishment since the 1950's. Hanscom's offers 12 cottages and motel units, which sit on grounds that feature an outdoor heated pool, picnic area and barbecue grill. Each unit includes a kitchenette, TV and WI-FI Internet. As of 2010, Hanscom's allows pets of any size at a charge of $10 per day. Pets should not be left alone for extended periods, and must be cleaned up after.

Hutchins Mountain View Cottages sit on 20 acres of open land, just four miles north of Bar Harbor, along Route 3. The Visitor Center for Acadia National Park is just one mile away. The cabins can accommodate two to six guests, and include a kitchen, cable television, a fireplace and a screened porch with a view of Cadillac Mountain. As of August 2010, pets of any size are welcome to stay at no extra cost. Dogs must be cleaned up after and kept on a leash.

Town and Country Cottage is such a lovely getaway spot, it feels like a private vacation home. The deck of this private cottage leads down to an enormous lawn, a perfect spot for the family to run, play and relax. The beautifully furnished cottage offers air conditioning, a washer and dryer, WI-FI, and a barbecue grill. Capacity is two adults and two children. Dogs are welcome to join the family, and as of August 2010, no additional pet fee is charged.
