For a cozy camping experience, visit Tall Pine Resort. All cabins feature a furnished kitchen with a stove and a refrigerator. Cabins vary by size, ranging from efficiency to large two-bedroom units, and sleep from one to eight.
Porches on the cabins allow for stunning mountain views. Charcoal grills are available. Tall Pine Resort is open only for the summer season, from mid-May through Sept. 30. Pets are welcome, but owners are responsible for any damage and must pay a $25 cleaning fee.

If the cabins are all booked, or if you prefer more homey accommodations, try the River Street Bed & Breakfast. Located on the banks of the Red River, it is a short walk to ski areas and many dining and shopping locations in downtown.
Each room offers a private bath and balcony. Enjoy the scenery from the hot tub on the deck. Breakfast is served daily as well as afternoon cookies, teas and hot chocolate. Pet accommodations are limited so be sure to call ahead.
