Red River is known as the Ski Town of the Southwest, and during the winter months, it draws many tourists. The Red River Ski and Snowboard area is in the center of town. Five miles away, cross-country ski trails can be found at the Enchanted Forest Cross Country Ski and Snowshoe Area. Skiers can find trails all the way to nearby Greenie Peak, which rises to 11,249 feet.
Lodging in Red River comes in many different styles, each attracting a different kind of tourist. Outdoor activities in Red River offer visitors much to do in the surrounding area. White water rafting, for example, is a popular activity on the Rio Grande. Camping, fishing, biking and hiking are all popular activities, and nearby trails, forests and waterways offer privacy and a calm atmosphere.

The variety of lodges, restaurants and bars offer inviting locations to meet locals and visitors, grab a bite to eat and listen to live music.
