The Timberline Ski area has beginner, intermediate and advanced ski areas, and is the only ski area in North America to offer year-round skiing. Summer ski and snowboard camps are available and the resort hosts the oldest ski race in America every June--the Golden Rose Ski Classic.

Mount Hood Meadows is one of the largest ski resorts in the state. There is no lodging available at the resort but it offers discounted lift tickets to guests staying at nearby hotels. Mount Hood is the site of the annual Mount Hood Film Festival held every year in March.
