Louisville, Kentucky Vacation Cottages

Louisville, Kentucky is the 16th largest city in the U.S. It boasts a myriad of museums, festivals, shopping and a variety of restaurants. The Kentucky Derby is held in Churchill Downs, and thousands of people visit Louisville for the Kentucky Derby Festival that takes place the two weeks prior. There is no shortage of things to see and do while visiting Louisville.
  1. Pinecrest Cottage & Gardens

    • Pinecrest Cottage is a single cottage that sits on 6.5 acres of land on Newburg Avenue. A lush garden surrounds the cottage, where guests can take a leisurely stroll. The cottage consists of one living room with a pull out sofa that sleeps two people, a fully stocked kitchen, one bedroom and one bath. The cottage has a quaint playhouse next to it for children to use during their stay. A pool is available for guests. A deli, pancake shop, pizza shop, Korean restaurant, Chinese restaurant and Mexican restaurant are all located within one mile of the cottage. Pinecrest is located minutes from the Louiseville Zoo and Churchill Downs.

    Magnolia Cottage at Gallery House

    • The Gallery House is a bed and breakfast with three guest rooms. The Magnolia Cottage is a one-bedroom cottage that sits behind the bed and breakfast for extended stays. You must stay a minimum of one month to rent the cottage. The cottage has a fully stocked kitchen, living room with pull-out sofa and one bath. Buck's Restaurant, Third Avenue Cafe, 610 Magnolia and Dizzy Whizz Drive-In are all within three miles of the cottage. The Muhammad Ali Museum and Louiville Slugger Museum are two miles away.

      Guests staying at the bed and breakfast with allergies should be aware that there are three cats that live there.

    Austin's Inn Place

    • Located on 1st Street in downtown Louisville, Austin's Inn Place is a bed and breakfast with five bedrooms, some of which are equipped with hot tubs. Mr Z's Kitchen, Taco Bell, Subway and Wok Express are all within walking distance of the bed and breakfast. The traditional location for the Kentucky Derby Festival is two blocks away. The Frazier International History Museum is one mile away and the Kentucky Derby Museum is less than three miles away. "Fourth Street Live" is the name of a shopping district that is three blocks away with shopping, dinning and frequent festivals.

    The Aleksander House

    • Located in historic "Old Louisville," The Aleksander House is an 1882 historic bed and breakfast in a large Victorian home with five bedrooms and one two-room suite available to guests. The suite can sleep four to six people. Three of the rooms are equipped with refrigerators, including the suite. Quiznos Sandwich Shop, English Grill, Michael Murphy's Restaurant and Ermin's French Bakery & Cafe are all within three blocks of the bed and breakfast. The Louisville Science Center and the Thomas Edison House are one mile away.
