Hunting Resorts in Canada

Canada has many areas of untouched land with hunting resorts in every providence. Hunting seasons for specific animals can vary depending the providence. Proper hunting licenses will be required before being allowed to hunt on resort grounds, but some resorts will file the permits for you. Popular game in Canada are moose, deer, black bear, caribou and game birds. Many resorts offer packages, and some even supply hunting gear.

    • Gypsy Lake Lodge is a hunting and fishing resort located in the Northern Alberta providence of Canada. Moose hunting is available Sept. 7 to Nov. 30 and black bear hunts are done from May 1 to June 15. The Gypsy Lake lodge is only accessible by aircraft which will be arranged during booking. The Lodge provides all meals.

    British Columbia, Canada

    • The Texada Retreat is located on its own island near Victoria Island, British Columbia. It allows hunting of Columbia Black-tailed Deer, and because of their abundance on the island, there is a longer hunting season and a higher bag limit than what is usually allowed.

    • Located in Northern Manitoba, the Wekusko Falls Lodge offers hunts using either black powder, rifle or bow. The local lakes also provide many varieties of fish. The main hunting targets are black bears, birds and waterfowl. The hunting area is approximately 50 by 40 miles.

    Saskatchewan, Canada

    • Saskatchewan River Trophy Hunting and Fishing Lodge features hunting for ducks, deer and black bears. Hunting for elk, moose, coyote and red fox varies depending on season. Fresh water fishing is available at Tobin Lake.

    • The Les Entreprises du Lac Perdu is located 250 miles north of Quebec City. The main game hunted are moose and black bear. On the resort's hunting grounds, hunters are allowed to hunt the male, female and calf moose as long as they have the proper hunting licenses.
