The Hocking Hills area is extremely popular in spring and fall, and draws visitors from Ohio and neighboring states to the scenic beauty of the hills. Old Man's Cave Chalets was founded in 1988 by a Hocking county native resident, and was the first of many cabin rental companies in the Hocking Hills. Immensely popular for weekend getaways, Old Man's Cave Chalets has grown through it's great reputation for cozy, clean cabins. Mark Devol started with 16 A-frame cabins, which still offer cozy and romantic lodging with private hot tubs and wood burning fireplaces on private and wooded sites. Today, Old Man's Cave Chalets has grown to over 50 cabins, cottages, and lodges with private pools that sleep up to 20 people.

Some of the highest rated cottages and cabins in the Hocking Hills area are located right in the Hocking Hills State Park. These include primitive camper cabins equipped only with beds, coolers, stoves, and camper lights, and cottages with gas fireplaces, full bathrooms, and two bedrooms. Valley View Cabins offers secluded cabins for two, and larger cabins for family groups, up to lodges that sleep up to 14 people comfortably. All of the cabins offer hot tubs and wood burning fireplaces, and some have screened porches to relax on. Valley View also offers a wedding chapel which offers private ceremonies with just the bride and groom or a large ceremony and reception for up to 65 people, and everything in between. Get married in the beautiful log wedding chapel, then spend a few nights in a romantic honeymoon cabin in front of the fireplace, or cozied up in the private hot tub.
