How to Stay in Dorms in Chicago

A number of universities allows visitors to rent rooms in dormitories or other campus housing options. Private universities tend to be more likely to offer rooms but public universities do as well. If dorms are full, many colleges partner with local hotels to offer discount rates. The University of Illinois has on-campus guest housing, separate from students. The University Center houses students from four Chicago universities. During the summer, the center rents apartment units at weekly or monthly rates. The University of Chicago has both dorm and guest room options.
