This 3,500-acre recreation area features hiking and cycling trails, and the public can tour the fort, which dates back to the mid-19th century. The resort is also a mile from the 18-hole Discovery Bay Golf Course. The amenities at this cottage getaway include a private beach on the bay, boat slips and picnicking areas with barbecue grills.
