Bay Cottage Getaway

• The Bay Cottage Getaway is a private resort on the eastern shores of Discovery Bay, and it is only a 10-minute drive from the historic Fort Townsend State Park. This 3,500-acre recreation area features hiking and cycling trails, and the public can tour the fort, which dates back to the mid-19th century. The resort is also a mile from the 18-hole Discovery Bay Golf Course. The amenities at this cottage getaway include a private beach on the bay, boat slips and picnicking areas with barbecue grills. The three units have fully furnished kitchens, living rooms, patio or porch areas, cable televisions and dining areas. Smoking is not allowed in any of the cottages. Jenny's Cottage and the Seaside Room have one bedroom, while the Bay Cottage has two.

• Situated in the Diamond Point community, the Diamond Point RV Resort is on the northwestern shores of Discovery Bay, and it features 100 camping sites with electric and water hook-ups. Resort amenities include hiking and bicycling trails on the resort's property, boating slips, private beach, indoor whirlpool tub and a clubhouse for group gatherings. The resort is open year-round. Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge, a recreation area in Dungeness Bay, is approximately 30 minutes from the resort. This park offers opportunities for hiking and birdwatching activities.
