Skamania Lodge has an 18-hole par-70 golf course on its grounds, overlooking the Columbia River. According to the lodge's website, it is rated among the top 100 courses by Golf for Women, and among the best 25 family golf resorts. Guests can purchase golf and accommodations packages from the resort, or you can buy daily and annual passes for the course. The lodge also runs a family golf program on the back nine holes after 5 p.m. There are also nine tournaments held at this course throughout the calendar year.
The lodge's Waterleaf Spa and Fitness Center offers a full-complement of spa services, including various types of massage, facials, manicures, pedicures, body treatments, and bridal packages. Guests must make reservations for spa treatments to guarantee service. The fitness center has an indoor swimming pool and both indoor and outdoor hot tubs. Fitness equipment such as ellipticals and recumbent bikes are available, and there are saunas in the locker rooms. There are also tennis and basketball courts on site.
The lodge's proximity to the Columbia River Gorge offers guests opportunities for many different kinds of outdoor activities. Near the lodge you can find rock climbing, biking, hiking, whitewater rafting, windsurfing, kayaking and fishing. There are also ski and snow sports areas nearby for winter guests. The lodge is about an hour's drive from Mount Hood, Oregon's tallest mountain, as well as Multnomah Falls, a scenic waterfall.
