Perfect North Slopes is open from early November to late March. It is a small ski area that opened in 1980. It includes five ski lifts and numerous trails. According to the resort website, 50 percent of its slopes are intermediate, 25 percent are advanced and 25 percent are for beginners. The resort offers daily lessons for skiers age 4 and older. A large beginners area includes a moving sidewalk to help you get back to the top of the hill. Packages are available in combination with nearby hotels and lodges.

Paoli Peaks is open from mid-December through early March during the heaviest snowfalls. The resort has a 45,000- square-foot lodge, with a cafe that serves sandwiches and pizza and has a full service bar. A pro shop has ski rentals, snowboard rentals and first aid, and you can sign up for lessons. Lessons also are available in racing, both in junior and adult racing ages.

Trailview Ski Lodge is a resort on the slopes in Paoli. The resort is open year round, for skiing in the winter and meetings in the summer. Its small lodges sleep six, eight and 12 for family vacations, honeymoons and other small groups, and include double beds, microwaves, toasters, a coffee maker and wood stove. Larger lodges, sleeping 30 and 52, are available for wedding parties, church groups and other large groups. These lodges have bunk-style bedrooms, a fireplace and fully equipped kitchen. No phone service is available.
