FEMA-approved Hotels

Every year disaster strikes anywhere and anytime, and it takes on many different forms such as fire, hurricane, floods and even earthquakes. Nationwide, millions face terrible consequences and need immediate assistance, and that is where the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) steps in to support citizens with rebuilding, recovering, food and water, relocating and even finding FEMA-approved hotel accommodations throughout the nation. FEMA also works in partnership with state and local organizations that are part of the emergency management agencies, which include 27 federal agencies and the American Red Cross.
