There are plenty of advantages to camping with an RV. It allows people to stay outdoors and reconnect with nature without giving up as many comforts. It is good for family travel, and also gives visitors more flexibility with where and how long they stay.
RV campers in northeast Florida will have plenty to do. Jacksonville, the continental U.S.'s largest city in terms of land area, sits along the St. Johns River and also has beach access on its Atlantic Coast. South of Jacksonville, St. Augustine is a good stop for history buffs, as it is the oldest continuously-inhabited community in the U.S.; it was founded in 1565.
There are RV parks throughout northeastern Florida. Flamingo Lake, Riverfront and Big Tree are three RV parks in Jacksonville. In St. Augustine, campers can stay at the Bryn Mawr Ocean Resort, Stage Coach RV Park or the KOA Kampground.
