There are also several camping clubs available in the area, where campers can meet new people and share the fun with other camping enthusiasts.
  1. Florida Popup Campers

    • This Florida camping club is a statewide group, established in March, 2001. Florida Popup Campers is open to all Florida residents, who own a "popup" folding travel trailer. Members are also required to have a valid, active email address, as this is the group's primary method of contact regarding upcoming trips. Membership is free.

      A majority of the group's campers camp with children and pets, and are under the age of 50. Camping trips are scheduled all over the state, and typically held over long weekends.

    • Established in 2007, this Florida camping club is a family-friendly group that hosts camping weekends in northeast Florida and southern Georgia. The club is open to all campers, and invites members to bring RVs, pop-up trailers or tents. The group's website lists upcoming camping trips.     Pop Up Pioneers of Jacksonville, Fla.

    • This family-friendly camping club was founded in 1992, and is open to all types of campers. The group plans weekend camping trips about once a month. Trips are generally held within two hours of Jacksonville. Campers are expected to bring their own meals and utensils, except on Friday nights. Friday suppers are prepared by a volunteer "Wagonmeister," who is reimbursed for meal expenses and any camping fees for the night in exchange for volunteering. As of October, 2009, "Wagonmeister" meals are $8 per camping unit.
