RV Parks in the Tennessee Mountains

When it comes to RV parks in the mountains of Tennessee, the hot spot is in the eastern part of the state in the greater-Gatlinburg area. Each site comes with a fire rings, a grills, cable TV and free Wi-Fi Internet access. Some of the sites are along a stream and all of them are near bathrooms, showers and a laundry room. Children can take advantage of the park's arcade and playground. The resort has its own store that sells groceries and camping supplies. Firewood and ice can also be purchased on the grounds. An additional feature is a large heated hot tub and pool.

    Newport/ I-40/Smoky Mountains KOA

    • Conveniently located minutes away from attractions such as the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the Newport KOA's recreational facilities include a pool, a basketball court and a pool table in its game room. Guests have the choice of staying in cabins, RV sites or on tents sites. The RV sites are located in shady areas and are full hook-ups with 50-amp availability. The sites also have cable TV for no charge. A picnic pavilion is also on the grounds along with a lake where guests can fish. Situated just off an exit of Interstate 40, the KOA is within 10 minutes of caverns and hosts various events such as karaoke nights. Firewood can be purchased on the grounds.

    • The Adventure Bound Camping Resort, located in an area with forests and streams, is 12 miles from downtown Gatlinburg. The resorts offers a variety of camping options, including cabins and RV sites. Many of the RV sites come with water, sewer and electric hook-ups. Some sites have 30-amp electric, while others have 50. Other sites have just water and electric. Fire rings and picnic tables can be found at nearly every site. Some features at the Adventure Bound Camping Resort include a large pool, a 500-foot water slide, walking paths, a trout pond and an arcade room in its activity center. Basic accommodations include a dump station, restrooms, showers, laundry facilities and public phones.
