Located about 10 miles from Kenosha in Bristol, Happy Acres Kampground has 179 RV sites with full electric, water and sewer connections. The campground includes amenities, such as bath, shower and laundry facilities, a pond for fishing and swimming, an outdoor swimming pool, playgrounds, bumper cars and a game room. Happy Acres Kampground also features a petting zoo for children and a tractor with a trailer that runs through the campground throughout each day to assist campers who want to get from their campsite to other areas of the park.

Illinois Beach State Park offers 241 campsites with electric connections, but no water or sewer. The park, which is located about eight miles from Kenosha in Zion, Illinois, is just a short walk for campers to Lake Michigan. The lake has boat ramps, and features swimming and fishing opportunities for campers. Illinois Beach State Park includes bath and shower facilities, and hiking and mountain biking trails. Cross-country skiing is allowed during the winter months. There are no campsites on the water at the park, but the campground is only about half a mile from the water.

Fish Lake Beach is located about 25 miles from Kenosha in Volo, Illinois. The campground has RV sites with electric and water connections. Fish Lake Beach features fishing and swimming activities, and paddleboat and canoe rentals on the lake. Amenities include bath, shower and laundry facilities, two outdoor swimming pools, a hot tub, miniature golf course and game room. Campers can also enjoy the outdoor movie theater, two playgrounds and basketball court.
