Located between Washoe Park and a Jack Nicklaus signature golf course, the Big Sky RV Park is open from May 1 to September 30 with 18 full hook-up sites, including 12 pull-throughs and six back-ins. The rest of the year there are six "winterized" sites with full hook-ups. Each site is 40 feet long and lined with gravel, with a grassy area that can accommodate slide-outs, 30- or 50-am electricity, cable and wireless Internet. A laundry facility and showers are on the premises, and phone hook-ups are available. Reservations are recommended. The campground website includes different coupons for each month.

In addition to cabins, teepees and tents, Fairmont has 147 RV campsites, of which 84 have full hook-up, 16 have water and electricity only, 36 have water only, and 11 are dry. There are 36 pull-through sites. All of the sites can accommodate 75-foot RVs and slideouts. Reservations are required.
The park is 15 acres and includes a large general store, recreation center, playground, showers, laundry facilities, modem, public phones, water station and gas station--including diesel. Horseshoes, movie rentals and barbecue stands are available.
Fairmont is located next to the Fairmont Hot Springs Resort, near Anaconda and Butte. Facilities nearby include swimming pools, a sauna, gym equipment, bike rental and horseback riding.

The Butte KOA RV park, located 24 miles from Anaconda in the town of Butte, is open from April 15 to October 31 and offers an on-site swimming pool in June, July and August. Other on-site attractions include a deli, snack bar and fishing streams. The RV sites have 50-amp service, pull-throughs of up to 80 feet, and wireless internet. For an extra charge you can also get LP gas and tours of the area. The RV sites themselves are close together, but the landscaping is charming and the park has a peaceful "community" look.
Local attractions include the Old Works Golf Course, designed by Jack Nicklaus, the "Old Number One" trolley ride, mansions that once belonged to mining barons, the World Museum of Mining, the Mineral Museum, a nearby game preserve, and the Our Lady of the Rockies statue--a 90-foot likeness of the Virgin Mary at 8,510 feet above sea level.

Located 25 miles from Anaconda, the Deer Lodge KOA is in close driving distance to the historic 1,500-acre Grant-Kohrs Ranch, Old Montana Prison, Towe Ford Museum, Frontier Montana Museum, Law Enforcement Museum, Powell County Museum, a doll museum called Yesterday's Playthings, and a summer theater that presents three productions each season. A golf course is also nearby.
The RV camp has a layout and activity program that encourages mingling among the campers. It is open from April 1 to October 31 and includes 50-amp service, telephone service, wireless internet, trout fishing, a playground, a meeting room, and paths for dog-walking. The maximum pull-through is 75 feet.
Amenities available for an extra charge include the snack bar, firewood and tours of the area.

The Inn at Philipsburg is in the Flint Creek Valley, about 30 miles from Anaconda. It is in walking distance of the Philipsburg historic district, which sports late 19th-century architecture, a handful of restaurants and bars, and a few art galleries.
The RV park is owned and operated by locals. Prices for RV sites start at $26 per night, and pets are welcome. Call the park to inquire about dates and amenities.
