The Sodom Mountain Campground is 12 miles from Springfield and open from May 1st to Columbus Day. It is the closest campground to Six Flags New England. They have large sites, some pull-through, with 30/50 amp electric. Sewer hookups are also available as well as laundry facilities and full service restrooms. This long-stay campground, monthly or seasonally, can accommodate large recreation vehicles including ones with slide outs. Pull through, wooden and open sites are available with sewer and dump station at the campground. A modem connection/ Wi-Fi, laundry facilities and cable television are available for guests. Open from mid-April to mid-October and just 20 miles from Springfield, there are 30/50 amp sites with sewer and 50-amp back in sites for larger rigs without sewer. A full kitchen is available for special occasions, and if you are hosting a big group a large safari field with electric and water can be reserved. Free Wi-Fi is also provided for guests. Prospect Mountain Campground is 19 miles from Springfield in Granville, Massachusetts. At the foothills of the Berkshires, there are 225 large space wooded sites and 100 seasonal sites. Full hook up sites are available but reserve quickly. A dump station, laundry and two restrooms with showers are on site. Cabin rentals and camping field reservations for large groups are also available. Stop by the country store for ice, gifts, firewood and anything else you might need including propane. Wireless Internet is also available at most sites. For recreation there is a heated swimming pool with adult only swim times, a mini golf course, two fishing ponds, rock and gem mining, volleyball, basketball and much more. The Patridge Hollow Camping Area in Monson is surrounded by the Brimfield State Forest and is 25 miles from Springfield. There are 42 sites in the Safari Field with water, electric and cable (20/30/50 amp available). In the Cove area, there are 12 sites with water and electric and a guarantee of five campers needed. A dumping station, modern bathrooms, laundry and a camp store with all your needs including propane are on site. Wi-Fi is available for guests. Challenge the family to a little bocce ball, wade in the pool or hit the arcade. You can also explore the Brimfield Forest. Their season runs mid-April to Columbus Day with planned activities throughout the season.
