Open from late April until mid-October, Terrace Lakes Campground is 1.5 miles north of Rogers in the neighboring village of New Waterford. The campground has 200 RV sites, more than two-thirds with full hookups, as well as a number of primitive tent sites. Thanks to its lakeside location, the campground offers a swimming beach, fishing dock and boat slips. Other recreational facilities include a playground, game room and horseshoe pits. Campers also have access to a camp store, a bathhouse with restrooms and showers, coin laundry, propane service and a dump station.
With less than 100 campsites scattered across 68 heavily wooded acres, Lock 30 Woodlands is a good choice for campers who crave seclusion. Little Beaver Creek, part of the National Wild and Scenic Rivers System, borders the campground on three sides. Just over 4 miles south of Rogers, pet-friendly Lock 30 Woodlands has sites for both RVs and tents, including nearly 50 with full hookups. Also available for rent are several luxury condos, each of which features a full kitchen, a private picnic area, TV, Wi-Fi and laundry facilities. Open year-round, the campground has a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, sports courts, a fishing pond, horseshoe pits, showers, restrooms, coin laundry, pet run, hiking trails and dump station.
Five miles south of Rogers near the town of East Liverpool, Beaver Creek State Park covers more than 2,700 acres of woodlands in the foothills of the Appalachians. Among the park’s attractions of historical note are a recreated pioneer village and Gaston’s Mill, a historic grist mill on the banks of Little Beaver Creek. Open year-round, the campground has a modern campground, an equestrian campground and a group camping area. The modern campground has 50 sites, six with electricity, and the equestrian campground features 59 primitive sites. The group camping area can accommodate organized groups of up to 125 people. Campers at all campgrounds have access to pit toilets and potable water. The park’s recreational activities include boating, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, hunting, picnicking and sledding.
Heavily wooded forestlands surround much of Flying Finn Campground, which caters exclusively to RVs and offers several pull-through sites that can accommodate larger rigs. Open from early May until early October, the campground lies 11 miles north-northeast of Rogers. Many of its 167 campsites have electric and water hookups. Each site has its own picnic table. Other facilities include a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, restrooms, showers, playground, horseshoe pits and a boat ramp.
Thirteen miles east of Rogers, Crawford’s Camping Park is across the Pennsylvania state line near the town of Darlington. The campground has roughly 100 campsites, about 25 with full hookups, and can accommodate both RVs and tents. All sites have picnic tables. Amenities include a recreation hall, seasonal outdoor swimming pool, playground, fishing pond, restrooms and showers. Open from mid-April until mid-October, Crawford’s welcomes well-behaved pets.
