Lake Conroe is 21,000 acres and offers swimming, fishing and boating, while the park is also near golf courses, shopping centers and restaurants. Among the amenities at the park are a white sand beach area, swimming pool, wading pool and hot tub. In the town of Montgomery is the Lake Conroe/Houston North KOA campground. Though this campground is mostly for tents, it does have RV sites as well, including pull-through sites for RVs up to 80 feet long with 50-amp electrical service available. Castaways RV Park & Campground is in Willis, also located on Lake Conroe. This park offers 180 RV campsites with full water, sewer, and 30- and 50-amp electrical hookups. The sites can accommodate double-slide-out campers. Each site also features a picnic table, fire ring and shade trees. Some sites have a gravel driveway as well. The park features two pull-through sites for larger rigs. The park offers a boat launch, free fishing, canoe rentals, lake swimming and skiing, and adult and kiddie swimming pools.
