Barefoot Camp and RV Park in Bend, Texas, is a privately owned and operated RV park that is located on the edge of a functioning Texas cattle ranch. One of the park's attractions is that the scenic Colorado River of San Saba County runs right along its front for three miles, providing fishing and boating. The park features 38 parking spaces for full-size RVs, as well as nine covered shelters, a lodge, and lots of shaded space for tents. Campers will find clean restrooms, showers and a telephone at their disposal, as well as a pavilion for large family gatherings. The camp is open for ten months a year, and closed for November and December, which is deer hunting season. Rates change throughout the seasons.

Colorado Bend State Park is a camping, hiking and outdoor facility that covers over 5000 acres of Texas' San Saba and Lampasas Counties. RV facilities include the park's main camping ground, where drive-up sites include picnic tables, fire rings, cooking grills, outdoor lamps, and potable water. There are also riverfront tent sites available, which feature composting toilets, a boat ramp, 14 miles of bike trails, and over 15 miles of hiking trails. The park entrance is located about four miles from central Bend.

Sulphur Springs Camp is another privately owned camping and RV park located along the Colorado River. The camp provides RV sites with electric and water hook-ups, a dump station, restrooms and showers. Its proximity to the river offers RV campers a place to go fishing, swimming, or boating during the day, before heading back to their RV hook-ups at night. The prime fishing is the number one reason people camp at Sulphur Springs. Additionally, Sulphur Springs is popular for its natural pool, wildlife and beautiful picnic areas.
