RV Parks in Temple, Texas

The city of Temple was originally built in 1881 as a railroad town. Temple is in Central Texas, and is often referred to as the wildflower capital of the state. The city is known for its lakes, rivers, forests and wildlife; the city is filled with nature preserves, nature walks, parks and places to fish, hike, picnic, golf and rock climb. There are many RV parks and campgrounds around nearby Lake Belton and in Temple.

    Live Oak Ridge Park

    • Live Oak Ridge is one of several RV parks located on Lake Belton.

      Live Oak Ridge Park is located at Lake Belton. The park has 48 RV and tent camping sites. All campsites have water hookups and either 30 or 50 amp electrical hook-ups. The park has a dump station and shower facilities. Guests at the park can fish, swim, and boat on the lake.

    Westcliff Park

    • Westcliff Park has its own playground.

      Westcliff Park is also located at Lake Belton and has 38 campsites in total, although 11 of them are reserved for primitive tent camping. The other 27 have water and electrical hookups. Many campsites are waterfront. Full-time park attendants are there to help guests, and the park has a two-lane boat ramp, dump station, playground, showers and a beach suitable for swimming. Of course, guests are not restricted to the park; the entire lake area is available for recreation.

    Cedar Ridge Park

    • Cedar Ridge has a swim beach and boat ramp.

      Cedar Ridge Park is another Lake Belton campground. It has 68 camping sites for both RVs and tents. Water and electricity are available at all sites. The campground has restrooms, a dump station, a fishing dock, a basketball court, a children's playground, and a 2-lane boat ramp. A swimming beach is also located at Cedar Ridge, as are laundry facilities, a group activity center and hot showers.
