Oakdale Park has its own swimming pool and offers lessons during the summer months. Oakdale Park usually holds an annual bluegrass festival every spring and is also close to the Brazos River, Camp N Fish, Fossil Rim Wildlife Center and Squaw Valley Golf Course. Oakdale Park also rents meeting and picnic areas for group gatherings.
