Located at the northwest corner of the Indiana State Fairgrounds, which is home to the Indiana State Fair, the Hoosier Horse Fair & Expo, 4-H shows and auctions, the Indiana State Fairground RV Campgrounds provides 170 RV sites. According to RV Park Reviews, the Indiana State Fairground RV Campgrounds received mixed reviews with some visitors commenting on the commercial atmosphere and others noting safety concerns. The RV park allows pets, as long as they are kept on a leash.

Known for its convenient access to four acres of pay-fishing lakes stocked with nearly 30,000 pounds of fish, Indy Lakes Campground is located about 15 minutes from the airport in southwest Indianapolis. According to the Indianapolis Convention & Visitors Association, the campground is open year round and offers several fishing contests. Indy Lakes Campground offers 52 sites with water, sewer and 50- or 30-amp electric hookups. Amenities include high-definition DirecTV, high-speed wireless Internet, security gates, a game room and an on-site convenience store. The campground allows pets, but pre-approval is required for animals larger than 20 pounds.
