Indoor Water Parks in Indianapolis, Indiana

Home of the famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and some of the most prestigious events in motor sports, Indianapolis sees 20 million visitors each year. There is no shortage of entertainment and culture within this sprawling city, and the downtown area alone is home to more than 250 clubs and restaurants. However, if you like to splash and swim, there are only a few waterparks, indoor or outdoor, in the Indianapolis area.

  1. Caribbean Cove Indoor Water Park

    • Next door to the famous Pyramids landmark of Indianapolis, Caribbean Cove is by far the larger of the two water parks located within the actual city. This 50,000 square-foot indoor water park features a variety of pools and rides, including a lazy river ride, kid activity pool/interactive play-scape, sports activity pool, plunge pool and multiple hot tubs. In addition, three water slides stand 40 feet in height and more than 200 feet in length. Aside from the water activities, Caribbean Cove Indoor Water Park also features a kids club with arts and crafts activities, cafe/pizzeria and video game arcade with prize center. For visitors who also need a place to lodge, the water park is connected to and owned by a Holiday Inn. The Holiday Inn features 344 guestrooms, and offers special room packages that include admission to the water park.

    Indy Island Aquatic Center

    • Although much smaller than Caribbean Cove, Indy Island Aquatic Center offers visitors a laid back and low-cost indoor water park alternative. Maintained by the Indy Parks and Recreation Department, Indy Island features two main pools---one for lap swimming and one for play/leisure. The water park also features a water playhouse for children, with various spray features and a children's water slide, as well as a large, spiral water slide for kids and adults at least 48 inches tall. A hot tub is available for adults. Indy Island also offers swimming lessons.
