What is Santa Clara seat?

Santa Clara Seat or more formally titled the 'Santa Clara Seat' is a member of the United States House of Representatives representing California's 17th congressional district situated in the Bay Area. The seat is based in San Jose, though the district borders include sections of Santa Clara, Los Altos, Los Altos hills and Cupertino. The seat was newly established in 2022, ahead of the 2022 mid-term elections.
