Indianapolis, Indiana Restaurants That Serve Sunday Brunch

Indiana's capital city of Indianapolis plays host to more than 875,000 residents and 22 million visitors annually, according to the Indianapolis Convention & Visitors Association. Tourist attractions include the Indianapolis Museum of Art, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the Children's Museum of Indianapolis, the largest children's museum in the world. The sprawling metropolis caters to its visitors and residents with a host of eclectic eateries, including a handful of restaurants that serve Sunday brunch.
  1. Zest!

    • Zest!, which boasts the motto "Downhome Goes Uptown," features an upscale setting, complete with brightly colored walls, antique chandeliers, white cloth covered tables and French cabaret chairs. During warmer weather, Zest! opens its outdoor courtyard for diners. The extensive 12-page menu features Sunday brunch fare, including items such as green eggs and salmon, scrambled omelets and a hair of the dog hangover solution, comprised of beer and tomato juice, and served alongside poached eggs, toast and bacon. Zest! sits less than two blocks from the Monon Trail, a 10 ½ mile pedestrian and bicycle-only greenway that runs through the city.

    Cafe Patachou

    • Cafe Patachou offers an old-fashioned diner decor, complete with counter seating, silver chairs and black and white checkered floors. Situated in the city's high-end Meridian-Kessler neighborhood, the restaurant also features outdoor dining and ample parking amidst its own private lot. The Sunday brunch draws large crowds, but a well-trained wait staff keeps the flow moving. Healthy fare includes gluten-free toast, organic orange juice and omelets made from free-range eggs or eggs whites. The self-serve coffee policy adds to the restaurant's relaxed atmosphere.

    Taste Cafe and Marketplace

    • Taste Cafe and Marketplace, a counter service eatery in the Meridian-Kessler region, first opened for business in 2004 and features large brunch and breakfast crowds. The casual restaurant offers a limited seating area, comprised of such high-end designs as faux-bamboo tables, high back leather booths, contemporary dangling light fixtures and terrazzo floors. Brunch fare includes items such as homemade granola with berries and yogurt, egg sandwiches with a basil aioli spread and a sampling of gourmet coffees. Top off your brunch with an oversized iced cinnamon bun.

    Tulip Noir

    • Located in the Old Town Shopping Center strip mall, and just a half-block from the Northbrook Shopping Center, Tulip Noir offers a relaxed interior complete with counter seating. Although the restaurant accepts credit cards, an ATM sits in the same complex as Tulip Noir. Brunch dishes include items such as smoked salmon and bagel, blueberry French toast and balsamic pasta scramble. Guests also receive a complimentary sampling of the cafe's tea of the day. Speak to the wait staff regarding specialty diets, such as vegan, gluten-free or allergy-friendly. The menu rotates seasonally.
