Contact the customer service center at 1-877-736-6727 to determine why you have received the violation. The four most common reasons are insufficient funds in your account, your license plate is not registered to your account, the transponder was not read or the transponder was not mounted properly.
Check your account information to make sure that everything is correct. If the toll in question has appeared on your account, you can appeal the violation. Make sure your transponder is mounted properly.
Pay the fee according to the instructions listed on the violation. Violators may be charged a fare based on their point of exit to the farthest point on the turnpike. Additional administrative fees may also be included in the violation. Your E-ZPass account may also be charged V-tolls, which is a toll that occurs if a signal is not received from your transponder when passing through an E-ZPass lane and verified by matching license plate numbers.
