Greater Detroit Area Breakfast Restaurants

The greater Detroit area is home to many restaurants, although not all of them serve breakfast. Restaurants that serve breakfast cater to a growing populous that includes individuals from all over, drawn to the city by the city's major companies and universities. Being a diverse city, Detroit also sees diversity in its breakfast restaurants. There are a few that specialize in the important meal, while others simply incorporate their own cultural meals into their breakfast menu.

  1. Detroit's Breakfast House & Grill

    • Detroit's Breakfast House & Grill was, according to the owners, built to fill a gap in Detroit's upscale breakfast scene. The establishment can fit up to 110 people in three rooms. The menu has five variations of eggs benedict: classic, grilled beefsteak tomato Florentine, signature turkey sausage, smoked salmon, and crabcake with while grain mustard Hollandaise. Made to order custom omelets, pancakes, Belgian waffles, and a variety of frittatas (greektown, New Orleans with shrimp and Creole sauce) round out the restaurant's breakfast cuisine. In addition, there is a full-service coffee bar that serves its own home blend and a full bar.

Everything is made with local eggs from Hampshire Farms. There are three daily breakfast specials available. The first is an omelet with shiitake, crimini, portabella and oyster mushrooms. There is also a quiche special, containing collard greens, roasted roma tomatoes, cipollini onions, grilled corn and Grana Paderno cheese.
