The Ripley's Believe it or Not! museum in Grand Prairie is about 7 miles from Six Flags Over Texas. The 41,000 square foot complex is a collection of exhibits that center around strange phenomena, unusual cultural artifacts, brain-teasing puzzles and optical illusions as well as mazes and games. The principal attraction is the "Believe it or not! Odditorium," featuring 11 galleries housed in a 10,000 square foot building reminiscent of an Indian palace. Another popular Ripley's attraction is Louis Tussaud's Palace of Wax, a building filled with over 200 highly-detailed wax sculptures of movie stars and historical figures.

River Legacy Parks, located approximately 2.5 miles from Six Flags Over Texas, is a chain of connected parks and natural areas situated upon the Trinity River in North Arlington. Throughout 1,300 acres of space, there are picnic areas and miles of walking, biking and jogging trails as well as pavilions, river look-outs and bathroom facilities. Between open fields, river banks and thick forests, careful observers may spot an abundance of wildlife. For nature enthusiasts, The Living Science Center is located within the park, presenting a number of interactive exhibits concerning the environment and sustainability. The center is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
