Branson is a small city in southeast Missouri and is known as the Live Music Show Capital of the World. Nov. 11 is Veterans Day, and Branson has numerous events and activities to honor America's veterans during the month of November.
The Veterans Memorial Museum is a national tribute to the men and women who have defended America during the 20th century. The museum has 10 large halls portraying the wars from World War I to present. There are more than 2,000 exhibits in the museum. The world's largest war sculpture, at 70 feet long and weighing 15 tons, is the centerpiece.

The American Legion Veterans Day Parade has circulated around downtown Branson as an annual event for more than 70 years. War veterans have reunions around Branson annually, with Branson merchants offering these veterans discounts at local attractions during the week. The "Traveling Wall," a miniature version of the Vietnam Wall in Washington, DC, is on display in Branson during Veterans Homecoming Week. Every November, Branson hosts a Marine Corps Ball.

Branson Scenic Railway offers a trip on a collection of passenger cars that traverse the foothills of the Ozark Mountains on a round-trip 40-mile excursion. The railway travels through tunnels, over trestles and through the southwest Missouri and northwest Arkansas wilderness.
There are regular excursions six days a week two to three times daily. The "Dinner Train" runs every Saturday, leaving the station at 5 p.m., offering a full-course meal, dessert and tea or coffee.

Branson Landing Cruises offers cruises for lunch, dinner, sightseeing, special events and holidays aboard a modern 100-foot riverboat replica or the Landing Princess, a 100-foot yacht. Evening cruises include a performance of the Brandon Landing Fountains, a multi-million dollar attraction that synchronizes water, light, sound and fire. Both boats escort guests from the downtown Branson Landing down Lake Taneykomo and back.
