Garment bags have always been the easiest way to pack for a trip, and now that they are being manufactured with wheels, we can take advantage of how easy they are to pack for trips.
Start by unzipping the garment bag.
When packing a garment bag, pack the clothes that are most likely to wrinkle first, so they are on the outside of the garment bag. Pack the items that will not wrinkle last. You do not necessarily have to take the clothes off the hangers to pack them in the garment bag.
Use the interior and exterior pockets to pack your shoes, underwear, and toiletries.
Hang the garment bag up, if you can, to keep clothes from wrinkling until you have to leave for your trip.
If you are driving, you have the luxury of being able to lay the garment bag out flat in the trunk or back seat. If you flying or using other public transportation, you will have to fold it up to save space.
