Michigan offers many different options for those seeking to become part of a local nudist community, and finding one takes contacting a few of the right organizations.
Contact PureNudism. This organization can help you find any kind of nudist or naturist community you are interested in. They handle listings and information for nudism camps, shows, sports and recreation, art, fun runs and even family nudist getaways. They offer contact information for several nudist clubs in Michigan, including the Apple Cider Nature Club in Lansing and the Turtle Lake Resort in Union City.
Contact the American Association for Nude Recreation. As one of the largest such association in the world, the AANR provides many different services, including event calendars, meetings, club activities and regional listings of nudist clubs and resorts. Their directory for nude recreation clubs within the Midwest region includes four communities in Michigan: the Spruce Hollow Campground in Mesick, Forest Hills Club in Saranac, Whispering Oaks in Oxford and Turtle Lake Resort in Union City.
Contact the Southeast Michigan Naturists. This group not only offers information on clubs and communities where nudists can go but also offers regular activities and meetings for nudists to attend. Several times a year they rent out public spaces for picnics, swim parties and other social gatherings. Their website contains information on several different full-fledged nudist resorts, some in Michigan and some in other areas that come highly recommended.
Contact the Naturist Society. This is a large group, much like the AANR, and functions in much the same manner. They have their own events, calendars, membership services and even a magazine. They also have a directory of naturist and nudist communities around the United States, including those located in Michigan. While the large resorts already mentioned are listed in the Naturist Society’s “network,” they also list smaller groups and businesses such as naturist-friendly bed and breakfasts, garden hotels and hot springs.
Contact the International Naturist Federation. As a global organization that serves the nudist and naturist communities all over the world, the INF has a directory that can help you find resorts, beaches, clubs and hotels that cater to your nudist needs. They network closely with the American Association for Nude Recreation in America, so if you choose to contact them to find communities in Michigan, they may give you the same information as the AANR. But they can be an invaluable resource if you decide to expand your search from that area and seek out nudist communities in other states, countries or continents.
