Favorite Places for Campers to Visit in the Shore Region

The Shore Region consists of miles of beach along the New Jersey coastline. This part of the Garden State is a great place for campers, as there are many different campgrounds to spend time at. Some have many activities on offer and most suit all types of camping. After a night under the stars, you'll wake up to find yourself close to some of the most beautiful beaches in the United States. The Shore Region is an ideal location for campers wanting to be close to the sand and surf.
  1. Seashore Campsites

    • Seashore Campsites in Cape May is located just five minutes from the beach. This isn't your everyday campsite -- it not only has clean, wooded campsites and picnic tables, it has a heated pool, tennis court and basketball court. For those staying longer than a few days, Seashore also has a laundromat. This is a great place for a family, as the campsite hosts wagon rides, movies and dances many evenings in season.

    Wading Pines Camping Resort

    • Wading Pines, on Godfrey Bridge Road in Chatsworth, New Jersey, suits campers of all styles. Bring a tent or RV or rent one of the 16 cabins at Wading Pines. This campground has a picnic table and fire pit at each site, as well as free cable TV hookups. You'll find a saltwater pool at the resort, a tennis court and playground. There's also live entertainment every weekend. Pets are allowed on leash, and hot showers are free at the resort.

    Sea Pirate Campgrounds

    • Located about a half hour north of Atlantic City, Sea Pirate Campgrounds is the ideal place for families with young children. This campground is family friendly and has many scheduled activities, including ceramics, arts and crafts, campground hay rides and more. You could also rent a boat or kayak or try your hand at fishing in the site's fully stocked fishing pond. There's a camp store and snack bar as well. Bring your tent or RVs or rent a cabin.

    Arrowhead Campground

    • Arrowhead Campground is located on 163 Leektown Road in Egg Harbor, New Jersey, about 25 minutes from Atlantic City. This campground is open year round and has 50 campsites and RV spots. Amenities include a store, snack bar, RV service repair and laundry facility. Pets are welcome, and the site is near canoeing, hiking, biking and hunting spots.
