• Known for its breakfasts, the Sunset Grill at Little Harbor Resort features Caribbean-inspired entrees, daily specials and their Sunday champagne brunch. The upscale resort is on its own secluded beach with fantastic views. Circles Bar Grill At Lands End is located on the beach and features a bar and patio. It has a relaxed atmosphere an a large menu featuring everything from duck to grouper.

  The Apollo Beach Flea Market is just off Highway 75 South, near Ft. Myers, and is open Fridays through Sundays year round. The market has over 1,900 vendors of all types. The market is covered and features over two football fields of vendors selling anything from clothing to jewelry. Get there early to get a good parking spot and wear something cool, as the area is not air-conditioned.

Beaches and Fishing

• Located on Tampa Bay, the main public beach in Apollo is located on the south end of Apollo Beach Boulevard and has an adjacent park featuring a covered pavilion and trails. The Apollo Beach Nature Park is a smaller county park on Surfside Boulevard and has designated picnic areas.

  The Gulf Coast waters off Tampa Bay are renowned for snook, kingfish and speckled trout. Fishing charters are available at the Apollo Beach Marina. Tours come equipped with licenses, a captain and all the equipment.

Manatee Watching

• The Manatee Viewing Center, an Apollo Beach staple, is open from November to April. The center features a manatee viewing platform to observe the manatees gathering along the ocean. The center also has a walkway through mangroves where tourists can view birds, animals and plants native to Florida. Reservations are available for large groups.
