Interesting Places in Adelaide

Adelaide is the capital city of the Australian state of South Australia. It is a coastal city, on the shores of the Southern Ocean, and it is located on the Adelaide Plains. Some interesting places to see in and near Adelaide are Gorge Wildlife Park, Apex Park Wetland, Sellicks Beach, Seahorse Farm and Barossa.
  1. Gorge Wildlife Park

    • The Gorge Wildlife Park is a privately owned collection of animals that includes meerkats, kangaroos, wallabies, dingoes, fairy wrens and ostriches.

    Apex Park Wetland

    • The Apex Park Wetland is part of Apex Park, which features tennis courts, a playground and picnic areas. Swamp hens, coots, pelicans, black swans, eastern banjo frogs and spotted grass frogs live in the wetland.

    Sellicks Beach

    • Sellicks Beach, along Adelaide's coastal strip, has white sand beaches, gulf water and cliffs. It is considered an ideal place to go boating and swimming.

    Seahorse Farm

    • Seahorse Farm is a breeding facility for seahorses, which are considered to be a vulnerable species. At the farm, you can see as many as 50 species of seahorses from around the world as well as several types of marine fish.

    Barossa

    • Barossa is a wine region that is considered one of the10 best in the world. Its shiraz vineyards are some of the oldest in the world.
