Tips for a Disney World Birthday

A birthday should be celebrated with activities that make the birthday person feel special. Taking a trip to Disney for a birthday is sure to create many memories that last a lifetime. From restaurants to rides, shows to fireworks, Disney World has plenty to offer and can make every birthday wish come true.
  1. Dine at Cinderella's Royal Table

    • Your little prince or princess will be thrilled when Disney's own princesses visit your table at lunch.

Although you may have to make reservations several weeks to several months in advance, Cinderella's Royal Table in Magic Kingdom provides a dining experience fit for a little princess or prince celebrating a birthday. You can enjoy the "Fairytale Dining at Cinderella's Royal Table" experience if you have the Disney Magic Your Way Dining package. Photographers capture the birthday boy or girl's entrance into the dining area and the children receive a free gift. Disney's princesses will visit your table. Finish lunch with a slice of chocolate cream cheese buckle cake.

Obtain a Fast Pass for Busy Attractions

    • Having a Fast Pass in Disney World is a way to maneuver around attraction crowds. If your birthday girl or boy wants to visit Toy Story Mania, a virtual carnival attraction in Hollywood Studios that opened summer 2010, or the Test Track in Epcot, do not spend his or her birthday waiting in long lines. Instead, with a Fast Pass you return at a later time and wait in a shorter line.

Catch a Show, Parade or Fireworks Display

    • Magic Kingdom's "Wishes" fireworks show is set to music and happens nightly above Cinderella Castle.

All throughout Disney World, shows, parades or fireworks displays are always happening, so at any theme park at any time, you can view one of the aforementioned. In the evenings, Magic Kingdom has the Spectromagic and Wishes fireworks displays, sure to stir emotions of happiness and joy as the birthday celebration comes to a close. In Animal Kingdom, Mickey's Jammin' Jungle parade occurs every afternoon before park closing and features colorful floats sure to delight a birthday celebrant.

    Visit Epcot's World Showcase

    • Visit the World Showcase in Epcot and let cast members operating Kidcot kiosks know it is your birthday. The cast members--many from the countries they represent in the World Showcase and working in Disney on work visas--sing "Happy Birthday" to you in their native languages. Some countries in the World Showcase, like Japan and China, will give you a fan or a complimentary dessert like kaki gori, Japan's version of the Sno-Cone. Each country will also give you a free drink.

    Goofy's Candy Co. Birthday Parties

    • You can book a birthday party at Goofy's Candy Co., via Kids Clubs, located at various Disney resorts. You can either have Goofy's Scien-Terrific Birthday Bash or the Perfectly Princess Party. Kids celebrating birthdays at Disney can create their own treats and receive balloons and autographed photos from Goofy and Cinderella. You can have a total of 12 to 15 guests in attendance. Goofy's Candy Co. began hosting birthday parties in 2008.
