Write a list of the attractions you want to see at Universal Studios. The websites for Universal Hollywood and Orlando provide details of rides, special events, places to eat, shows and shops (see Resources). List the attractions in priority, so you don't miss the features you most want to see.
Learn the location of your chosen attractions on a map of the studios. Having a good idea of each attraction location will help you navigate the parks more quickly. Universal Studios provides a park map on its websites. Print the map and bring it with you during your visit.
Decide which live shows you want to attend. Universal Studios has a number of live shows that take place several times a day. Check the times of your preferred shows and note them in a timetable. Universal Orlando states that doors to shows will close at the start time and recommends arriving 15 minutes beforehand.
Buy your tickets to the park in advance. When you buy your tickets, also purchase the Express Plus Pass for Orlando or the Front of Line Pass for Hollywood. These tickets will allow you one priority entry per attraction, meaning you can skip long lines and avoid standing around. You will have more time to move around the park, seeing more attractions. If you want unlimited entry priority, buy the Park to Park VIP ticket for Florida or the VIP Experience ticket for Hollywood. The VIP ticket for Universal Hollywood provides you with a guided visit and exclusive peeks inside closed sets.
Visit the attractions at the top of your list first, moving across the park map in one direction. After you have seen your top attractions, move back across the map visiting the other features on your list.
