How to See Universal Studios Efficiently

Universal Studios has two theme parks, one in Orlando, Fla. and the other in Hollywood, Calif. If you want to see Universal Studios efficiently, you will need to do some preparation by deciding what attractions you want to see in advance. The film studio was founded in 1912 but it wasn't until 1964 that the Hollywood park started to charge admission for tours. The Orlando park opened in 1990.

Universal Studios has dozens of shows, including the Blue Man Group.

Decide which live shows you want to attend. Universal Studios has a number of live shows that take place several times a day. Check the times of your preferred shows and note them in a timetable. Universal Orlando states that doors to shows will close at the start time and recommends arriving 15 minutes beforehand.

Use an Express or VIP pass to skip the lines.

Buy your tickets to the park in advance. When you buy your tickets, also purchase the Express Plus Pass for Orlando or the Front of Line Pass for Hollywood. These tickets will allow you one priority entry per attraction, meaning you can skip long lines and avoid standing around. You will have more time to move around the park, seeing more attractions. If you want unlimited entry priority, buy the Park to Park VIP ticket for Florida or the VIP Experience ticket for Hollywood. The VIP ticket for Universal Hollywood provides you with a guided visit and exclusive peeks inside closed sets.
