Choose a restaurant. The restaurants in Universal Orlando range from casual to fine dining and cover a variety of styles, from seafood to Americana, so guests can chose based on their monetary limits and personal taste.
Plan where to eat based on park locations. If riding the Mummy roller coaster, dine at Mel's Drive-in instead of trudging across the park to Lombard's Landing.
Make priority seating arrangements. While reservations only are available at Mythos or Emeril's in the City Walk, priority seating allows park-goers to sign up for the first available table at a certain time. This method isn't as sure-fire to prevent waits as reservations, but it can cut down on wait time. Guests can arranged priority seating by calling the dedicated phone line between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on the day they wish to dine or by making a request at the information kiosk at the entrance to City Walk.
Purchase the meal deal. Universal's meal deal is an all-you-can-eat package that allows the guest to dine at any of the participating restaurants as often as they like for a flat fee. The meal deal only applies to three restaurants in each park, and only is good for one park and one day. In Universal Studios, the deal is useable at Mel's Drive-In, Louie's Italian Restaurant and International Food and Film Festival.
Eat healthful foods. There are several healthful options in Universal Orlando, such as Lombard's Seafood Grille, which offers salads and sandwiches.
