In the newsletter is a link for Undercover Tourist, a discount broker with deals that are available only through the link. The savings may not be substantial at first glance, but there are often deals for free days to add on to your ticket. The email newsletter is sent on the 15th of each month and back issues are not available so sign up early.
Weigh what you need. The Magic Your Way ticket has many add-on options available. If you are planning on visiting one park per day, don't add the Park Hopper option. If you aren't interested in the water parks, don't add Water Parks and More. Plan the days of your vacation carefully and add only the options that you are going to use, no matter how good of a deal the option seems.
Buy more days. The more days that you buy your ticket for, the less you pay per day. Don't buy a ticket that has days that you aren't going to use, but, if you're planning on spending all your time in the parks, you will notice a substantial per-day savings the more days your ticket is for.
Check the web site. WDW will sometimes offer promotions that include a free ticket. Past promotions have included a free ticket on your birthday or a free ticket for volunteering with a participating organization. Check the web site to see if there are any promotional offers.
Take a tour. All over Central Florida there are signs, stores and booths that advertise discounted or free theme park tickets. The vast majority of these are legitimate offers but there is a catch. To receive your discounted or free tickets, you will be required to take a tour of a timeshare property. Timeshare tours often take longer than promised and they are extremely high pressure. You will not receive your tickets until the tour is over. The deals offered will seem incredible and you will be pressured to make an on-the-spot decision that could cost tens of thousands of dollars. Do not take a timeshare tour unless you are good at saying no.
