DisneyWorld Magic Kingdom Activities

The Magic Kingdom in Disney World is full of activities for young and old, more than you could possibly fit into a day. Everyone knows about the Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean and other popular rides. But there are many other ways to spend your day here without ever fastening a seat belt.
  1. The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique

    • Small children can get the royal treatment here, as girls are transformed into princesses. Fancy hair styles, sparkle makeup and manicures make any girl feel special. Boys can get a special prince treatment, too.

    Captain Jack Sparrow's Pirate Tutorial

    • Guests can get a full pirate makeup treatment, including eye patch, earring and bandanna. They then are given their secret pirate name, take a pirate oath, take part in pirate skill tests and get a secret tour of Captain Jack's treasure room.

    Parades

    • At least three times a day, parades move through the Magic Kingdom. Depending on the time of year, it may be holiday-themed or may invite guests to join in the dancing celebrations.

    Hidden Mickey search

    • There are hidden silhouettes of Mickey Mouse throughout the Magic Kingdom, from rides to gift shops, from flower arrangements to window displays. Spend the day keeping track of who found the most Mickeys.

    Baby's first haircut

    • There is a working barbershop on Main Street USA in the Magic Kingdom. Many people enjoy getting their baby's first haircut there. Children getting their first haircut receive special complimentary Mickey ears and a certificate.

    Fireworks

    • No day at the Magic Kingdom would be complete without seeing the fireworks at the end. As of 2009, the show is still "Wishes," the classic fireworks and music show that features Tinkerbell flying up to Cinderella Castle and a battle between good and evil.
