Ask for a discount. If you are a member of AAA or the Disney Vacation Club you may qualify for special deals and discounts on your deluxe resort accommodations. Disney also offers Florida residency discounts and special deals for those in the military and veterans. Disney usually offers specials for these groups, so if you are a member of any of these groups you will always want to ask for a deal on your Disney vacation. You can also simply ask the reservation specialist if there are any specials being offered at the time. If you are unable to get a deal on your accommodations at the time, keep calling back. If the special deal was not available when you first called, it might come available at a later date and can always be added to your existing reservation.
Book a complete package. When planning your Walt Disney World vacation you will want to book a full package, including theme park tickets, room accommodations, recreation activities and dining. By booking a full package you will get an overall discount on your stay at a deluxe resort.
Check with your travel agent. Travel agents know the ins and outs of travel and will be able to find your special rates through Disney that might not be offered to the general public yet or advertised by Disney. He or she will be able to help you find the best time to travel and how to receive a special deal on your deluxe accommodations.
Book early. Disney offers special promotions throughout the year, including a book early special that offers 35 percent off select rooms at Walt Disney World. This special includes deluxe resort accommodations and is offered when you book a few months in advance.
