Wanderlust World Wanderlust World Wanesville is home to Tender Mercy Retreat, a farm that overlooks Cold Mountain. Children can take llama rides during lunch time and witness the landscape of the farm that includes hiking trails, hills, a lake and a shopping district. You and your children can take group, lunch or individual treks across the farm. Prices vary from group to individual sessions.
Known as HART, the Haywood Art Regional Theater displays the artwork and culture of the people of Waynesville. Children can explore the art gallery in the museum section of the theater, plus enjoy a performing arts show. HART is host to kid-friendly comedies and entertainment ideal for both young and older children. In addition, HART offers a studio for children to witness live music and performing arts in a more intimate environment.
At Waynesville Fly Shop, you and your children have the opportunity to learn fly-fishing or take a guided service. Guided services offer casting instruction, fishing techniques and stream biology, while fly-fishing classes teach you the basics of fly-fishing. You must bring or purchase medicine, jackets, snacks and flies at the shop before taking a guided or fly-fishing class. Waynesville Fly Shop is the only fly-fishing/guided service store in Waynseville.

Walking through Waynesville, you and your children can enjoy the scenery and heritage of Wayneville, including looking at antiques, walking down Main Street and sampling the local restaurants.
